ROLE: 2 x PRODUCER DIRECTORS
?? LOCATION: London-based + international filming
?? DATES: 25 January – 19 February 2027
South Shore is looking for 2 experienced Producer Directors to join a new talent-led documentary series for a UK broadcaster, aimed at a younger audience.
We're looking for confident factual filmmakers with excellent documentary storytelling instincts, strong directing skills and experience working closely with established on-screen talent.
You'll need to be comfortable filming internationally, working on location and capturing authentic, engaging stories as they unfold.
WE'RE LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO:
?? Have strong Producer Director credits across factual documentaries and talent-led programming.
? Have experience producing and directing established on-screen talent, building trust and capturing natural, engaging moments.
?? Have experience filming internationally and are comfortable working in different locations and environments.
?? Are confident directors with strong visual storytelling skills and the ability to deliver high-quality sequences on location.
?? Have excellent editorial judgement, strong research skills and a good instinct for developing factual stories.
?? Understand what appeals to a youth-skewing audience and how to create authentic, engaging and contemporary factual content.
?? Can work collaboratively with talent, contributors and the wider editorial and production teams.
? Are adaptable, resourceful and confident making editorial decisions in the field.
Experience making contemporary, talent-led documentaries for younger audiences would be a real advantage.
?? IMPORTANT: Applicants must hold a valid passport and be available for international filming.
