ROLE:  JUNIOR EDITOR

After Party Studios is looking for a Junior Editor to join their post-production team.

?? About the Role

We’re looking for a sharp and enthusiastic Junior Editor to join our post-production team across a range of fast-paced digital and broadcast projects. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience on a variety of different productions while working closely with our team of editors, producers, and creatives.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of editing short-form digital content, especially for social platforms, with a keen eye for detail and a solid grasp of how to properly deliver an edit.

?? Key Responsibilities

  1. Assist lead editors in assembling and cutting episodes, trailers, and social assets
  2. Edit short-form content for TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube, in line with Channel 4.0’s tone and branding
  3. Help prepare timelines for review stages (RC/FC/PL) and final delivery
  4. Ensure all deliverables meet client/broadcast and platform-specific QC standards
  5. Implement feedback from creative producers, directors, and clients in a timely manner
  6. Export and manage multiple versions of edits (with/without GFX, texted/textless etc.)
  7. Support with ingesting, media management, and file organisation as needed

 ? Ideal Candidate

  1. 1+ years experience in an editing role (can include internships or freelance gigs)
  2. Fluent in Adobe Premiere Pro
  3. Detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  4. Familiarity with QC specs, file naming conventions, and basic tech delivery requirements
  5. Confident working in a fast-paced environment and juggling multiple projects
  6. A good communicator who’s happy to take direction but also work independently when needed

?? Nice to Have

  1. Understanding of sound mix and colour workflows
  2. Knowledge of Photoshop and After Effects
