Antiques Roadshow, one of the BBC’s most loved and longest-running programmes, is looking for an experienced Researcher with a passion for history, storytelling, and objects from the past.

As part of the team, you will work closely with senior staff and specialists to help uncover fascinating items and the stories behind them. Your role will involve researching contributors and their objects, clearing archive material, obtaining clearance costs, and supporting the team during filming days.

You will also help find locations, gather background material, and assist in preparing content for the edit.

The successful candidate will be expected to attend Roadshow event days between May - July, which will include weekend working and flexible hours.

We are looking for someone with strong communication skills, excellent research abilities, and the confidence to work with both the public and experts. Strong interpersonal skills are essential.

The ideal candidate will have:

·Experience clearing archive material and obtaining clearance costs for antique items.

·A genuine interest in antiques, history, and cultural heritage.

·Strong organisational and research skills.

·The ability to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

·Experience supporting edits or working in a factual production environment.

·A full, clean driving licence and the willingness to travel across the UK for filming.

Contract Dates: 2nd of March – End of August 2026.

Base: Bristol, with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.

The role is offered as a freelance contract.
