BBC Studios are looking for a Celebrity Producer to join the world’s most famous flower show for the upcoming series TX ’ing in May.
We are seeking an experienced Producer to book guests to appear on the RHS Chelsea Flower Show coverage, on BBC1 daytime as well as BBC1 and BBC2 prime.
Key to the role will be the ability to understand the tone, style, audience and requirements of the different shows and suggest and book celebrities accordingly.
The successful candidate will also be confident preparing and presenting well-researched and clear editorial briefs to pitch to the senior team as well as assisting the Gallery Producers to deliver their programmes.
During the event week the Celebrity Producer will accompany and manage celebrities during filming, liaising between them and the production team to support the overall smooth running of the show. Experience dealing with late bookings and flexibility in a fast-paced live environment is essential.
The ideal candidate will have experience booking a wide range of celebrities on live event television and magazine shows. They will have an extensive contact book with established relationships with agents and PRs.
A strong understanding of current popular culture and a broad-minded approach to identifying potential guests is key to success in this role. Knowledge of the gardening world would be advantageous but not essential.
The role will initially be part time 3 days a week from late March to mid-April and then full time to the end of the event week in May.
There is the opportunity for hybrid working however the producer will be expected in the Bristol office once a week.
The role is offered as a freelance contract.
