PRODUCER-DIRECTOR OPPORTUNITY:
JOIN THE GARDENERS’ WORLD TEAM AT BRISTOL’S BBC STUDIOS
BBC’s Gardeners’ World, the UK’s best-loved gardening programme, is looking for experienced Producer-Directors. We need self-shooting PDs who also have a track record of directing craft camera crews. Collaborating closely with the senior team, and working from locations across the UK, you will produce creative, content-rich films and programmes. Duties will include managing complex schedules and overseeing the filming process from scripting through to directing and post-production – including overseeing dubs, onlines and grades.
Highly organised, with proven leadership skills, you will be responsible for forward planning, recceing new locations, liaising with horticulture experts, and line managing horticultural researchers and horticultural assistant producers. The ideal candidate will have a passion for gardening and experience of working closely with high-profile talent, supervising voiceover sessions with presenters, generating editorial, setting up and filming location based VTs, creating online content, and helping manage our social media platforms.
Start Dates: We will be offering contracts of various lengths between February and October 2026.
Base: Bristol with a minimum of 3 days per week in the office.
